Bad moderators and Lolcows are like my jewish mother and cookies. They are quite a force when seperate, Reddit mods are not only famously, Lolcowy, the supermods are infamously-lazy, my jewish motherable, and very easy to piss off. Well, the hand that fed Reddit's moderators (with imaginary food, and corporate inside deals, nonetheless) just bitch-slapped them. And now the hotpockets are being thrown across the meeting room. It started with a blackout for two days. On the surface this looked like a push by the users to support third party apps that were basically being banned bickers of the high costs. Beneath that surface however, the janitoral staff of Reddit was seething with rage that their easy-access lazy automod tools were being threatened, so they organized in the most-reddit-way possible. Anyone with even just a spare few braincells knew that you can't just do a protest for a mere two days and expect admins to bend over for you. Well that time came and went, the talking heads acted like the blackout was a failure. But now that the Supermods have been betrayed, they're going on a full-on-revolt. I don't know about you guys, but I think Reddit might actually implode this time. ThatAnimeSnob One of the most infamous lolcows that is mostly familiar to people who spend time with AniTubers and lolcows is ThatAnimeSnob. https://youtube.fandom.com/wiki/ThatAnimeSnob As a Greek anime myself who has been hanging around Greek anime forums since the mid 2000s I was familiar with him when back then he was using the nickname Roriconfan (an Engrish way to say Loliconfan) and AniTubers wasn't a thing yet and therefore he didn't had any presence at YouTube yet (at least in my knowledge). Even back then he was one of the most active, loudest and most obnoxious members at Greek anime forums and at anime database sites like anidb.net. Since then he was already infamous for trying way too hard to pretend having high standards in anime with his complaining for almost every anime he was "watched", including anime of his childhood. And I use quote marks for the watching part since he admitted that he wasn't actually watching the whole anime he was whining about and he made reviews about and instead he was watching them at fast forward. At late 2000s - early 2010s most members of Greek anime forums have either stopped hanging around online communities (at least as active members) or moved to mainstream social media like Facebook and mainstream sites like YouTube. As a result Greek anime forums have either died or stopped being as active as they used to. Which is why at early 2010s I also moved to Facebook and to other forums (either Greek or foreign ones) that were still active. While I still kept touch with some members from Greek anime forums or kept meeting them in other online sites I've personally lost touch with Roriconfan besides his cringe "reviews" at AniDb.net since said is my default choice for anime info including available fansubs or rips. If there is an obscure retro anime, the only "review" it would have at AniDb.net (or one of the few reviews) would be from none other than Roriconfan. Fast forward at 2020s: Some of my close online friends who are familiar with AniTubers (AniTubers was never my thing with only 1-2 exceptions), online dramas and lolcows talked to me about a Greek AniTuber lolcow named ThatAnimeSnob since I'm also Greek and asked me if I'm familiar with him. My first reaction was "Never heard of him.". After a quick search my reaction was "OMG! That's Roricofan!". As you can see despite being Greek I was totally oblivious about his "career" as an AniTuber until my foreign friends informed me about it. I won't analyze or comment about his online presence as ThatAnimeSnob since it's already been done analytically by many others. The only thing I'll comment is that while he deserves the hate he gets (especially bickers of him celebrating about the doxxing of other AniTubers he hates like Chibi Reviews to later cry when he also got victim of doxxing)...I kinda pity him. It's kinda hard to explain why since I'm bad with voicing out certain thoughts of mine. Anyway, that's my personal thoughts about ThatAnimeSnob. I would like to hear your opinions about him.
