Humanoid Robot Projects Videos Robowaifu Technician 09/18/2019 (Wed) 04:02:08 No.374
I'd like to have a place to accumulate video links to various humanoid – particularly gynoid – robotics projects are out there. Whether they are commercial scale or small scale projects, if they involve humanoid robots post them here. Bonus points if it's the work of a lone genius. I'll start, Ricky Ma of Hong Kong created a stir by creating a gynoid that resembled Scarlett Johansson. It's an ongoing project he calls an art project. I think it's pretty impressive even if it can't walk yet. https://www.invidio.us/watch?v=ZoSfq-jHSWw === Instructions on how to use yt-dlp to save videos ITT to your computer: (>>16357)

Not sure I recall seeing this here? Cool design work by a Japanbro Anon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icKanoBvNQY
>>35166 Actually, this looks pretty clearly to me like a smol business... some kind of engineering concern? Very cool! I wonder if they ever finished their Miku-chan bot. This was from 6 years or so ago?

>>35201 Thanks, NoidoDev! I found this based on searching from your crosslink : https://x.com/missile_39?mx=2 Looks like they're making some great progress! I don't read Nihongo yet, so I'm unsure at this point what the goal with their project is. Regardless, I sure wish them well with it! Thanks again, Anon. Cheers. :^)

Tesla's latest is managing some impressive kinematics (using MOCAP'd human data) mimicking human dance. They're getting pretty lifelike with the actuation forces/software accommodating secondary inertial moments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-NCFSEHTnM Impressive, IMO.

While it's not quite 'humanoid' yet, this is the basic opensauce robo claw arm I plan to start out with for my Cart-waifu (cf. >>38036, et al). https://github.com/TheRobotStudio/SO-ARM100 Here's a WowRobo Robotics employee constructing one from their kit product. (This is just an example. a) there are other providers, and b) its opensauce...just make your own instead) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70GuJf2jbYk
>>42186 POTD Totally-not-Chii & her sisters a cute! Cute.
Dear Kibo-chan is just being silly! :D https://trashchan.xyz/robowaifu/thread/26.html#1341
>>42856 He should scale Kibo up, or at least share the blueprints and software.
>>42858 Agreed, that would be really nice if he did! :^)
>>42858 I think he did share the software, or at least reveal what control software he used... a blender plugin! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeJxMaNQAzg
>>42875 POTD Excellent stuff, Mechnomancer. I had forgotten about that plugin.
>>42875 Damn, the use of the word "animatronic", plus using a method like Blender, means it's ALL scripted
Open file (6.41 MB 1364x768 GPT expressions.mp4)
>>42899 >it's ALL scripted Well, yes. Smol local chatbot LLMs are not trained for giving servo positions or providing responses in a consistent format. When I was kanoodling with the chatgpt API a few years ago (wait 2021 that was over 4 years ago!) it could respond from a list of possible expressions and separate it from the displayed text. It could also provide servo positions but I'm not sure if they actually would make sense. Would have to provide a list of joints and what each limit means (eg servo 1 is the elbow and a value of 1500 is retracted and 2500 is extended servo 2 is wrist rotation where 500 is clockwise and 2500 is counterclockwise, etc). Seen a few projects where they give chatgpt control of stuff like a smol robodoog. I'll probably give SPUD pre-programmed poses to react to keywords since she's all locally hosted on a raspi. Now that I think of it I never did check how well the wizard model is with providing more robot-y responses...
>>42904 >vid This will never not be cute! I'm glad its preserved here for posterity. May you and the rest of us look back on this stage with fond memories when dear SPUD is singing, dancing, and running with the best! Cheers & thanks, Mechnomancer. :^)

Very interesting recent video I found on Incels.is It seems like Chobitsu was right, baste Chyna is coming in clutch! Hopefully she can be made affordable.
>>43846 POTD Yeah, they are all-in on the robowaifu future. Its simply a matter of time! :D <---> >baste Chyna Despite possible appearances to the contrary, I'm not actually deluding myself as to the nature of the CCP (at least I'm pretty sure I'm not). I've studied them and the people of China for some time. While the nation has a huge & growing population of Christians, in general the people are still deeply entrenched in filthy commie thinking * following the so-called Cultural Revolution (more-properly stylized as (((Cultural Revolution))) ). Its exactly this long-standing lack of Christian mores within the country that situates them perfectly to lead the real Robowaifu Revolution today. I believe the primary dynamics going on that incentivize this transformation are: A. They properly valuate women as lower-class members of society. B. Therefore they aren't particularly subject to Longhouse Karens dictating to everyone there. C. The 50million+ "excess" men resulting from the decades-long One Child Policy makes them more ripe for broad societal acceptance of robowaifus than any other nation on Earth. D. They are now (wisely) withholding rare earths from exports. This positions them better than any other nation to mass-produce the necessary high-power, high-efficiency actuators for robowaifus. E. They have an absolutely yuge population of genius-tier men there. (For example, they win the Math Olympiads year after year.) This, again, partly stems from their lack of Christian mores. To wit: they still today snatch highly-gifted children from their families and subject them to special, intensive academic training non-stop for years (early-elementary thru highschool). And they have a billion+ people to pick & choose from for these rigorous military-style academies. ** This same population of brilliant Chinese men can (and does) feed into the commercial & industrial pipelines springing up to produce robowaifus en masse. --- * Intredastingly, AFAICT Emperor Xi is rapidly transforming the nation and it's agendas into a National Socialist form; largely abandoning the kike's commie shite (((imposed))) on them from without. Sieg!! :D https://trashchan.xyz/robowaifu/thread/26.html#1385 ** Think: Ender's Game (but w/o all the cool space stuff).

>>43846 They're free to design it however they like, but the fake skin and the hair are a chore to clean and I doubt the bot is capable of self cleaning. I'd rather it have a more robotic apperance and have more domestic utility than larping as a waifubot. I'd be okay with a cyclops head or OLED pixel face. Ideally, something you could 3D print yourself for the most part and swap around without trouble.
>>43850 >Think: Ender's Game (but w/o all the cool space stuff). With how fast the Chinese are developing, that's only temporary! >>43885 >I'd rather it have a more robotic apperance and have more domestic utility than larping as a waifubot. >>43893 I've peeked at that thread before. Pretty cool. If Chinese sex bots spur Western innovation, that's fine by me. I don't know if the next century will be a Chinese one. I don't like the idea of them being culturally dominant. If the leaders in the West are insistent upon civilizational suicide, I suppose we'll all be maggots on the corpse. At least with modern technology, real-time translation is becoming a lot easier. Everyone will have subtitles, so when our Chinese overlords do annex us, at least the language barrier won't be too bad. Then again, it'll probably be a Chinese AI doing the translations for us...I wonder if we'll be able to trust it?

interesting vid i seen from @CyberRobooo on X, not advertising but they tend to have interesting updates in the world of robotics, vidrel seems pretty cool. Apparently it's "Elf Xuan" from AheadFrom. China will be bringing us across (or at least, close to) the finish line it seems
>>43926 In the grand scheme of things, this just looks like an animatronic with piped audio. The real victory is cultural, we now have cute robot elf pop-stars.
>>43926 POTD This is a very positive sign if this is the direction they are going. Trust me when I say the film industry knows a metric shiteton about hero facial animation. The Chinese bought our studios to obtain facial & other IP. This stuff is going to get a whole lot better! :D >>43927 >The real victory is cultural, we now have cute robot elf pop-stars. >>44305 Lol you're taking it way too seriously. It's a entertainment channel with a focus on destructive testing. I actually like their "realness", it shows the limitations of the Unitree robot, and the things most people would try to do with it.
