ITT: Anons derail the board into debate about Christianity :^) Robowaifu Technician 04/02/2020 (Thu) 02:24:54 No.2050
I found this project and it looks interesting. Robots wives appeal to me because i'm convinced human woman and humans in general have flaws that make having close relationships with them a waste of energy. I'm a pathetic freshman engineering student who knows barely anything about anything. Honestly, I think current technology isn't at a place that could produce satisfying results for me at least. I'd like something better than an actual person, not a compromise. Even then the technology is there, I have my doubts it'll be affordable to make on your own. Fingers crossed though. Anyway, what kind of behavior would you like from your robot wife? I'd like mine to be unemotional, lacking in empathy, stoic and disinterested in personal gain or other people. I think human woman would be improved if they were like that. Sorry if this thread is inappropriate.

>>43000 >You can claim humans have souls and dogs don't Actually, dogs do. So do cats, owls (, and even gators!) What the biblical Hebrew describes as Nephesh creatures (so; all mammals, all birbs, and a very-few rare reptiles: basically, species where parents care for their young). These creatures all have souls, as do homo sapiens sapiens. What we alone have is distinctive: we have spirits (in fact the Bible declares that we are spirits, first-and-foremost. >Something like having a soul [can't] be proven... So, I think I 'hear' you claiming there is no evidence for human souls? I think most would find that a laughable statement. * The very fact of this conversation distinctively proves quite otherwise. :^) (Indeed, I consider it deeper: it proves directly we are spiritual beings, rather than just soulish ones.) >Nobody that wants to believe there's something beyond physical reality that prevents AI from achieving full AGI capable of meeting or exceeding human intelligence Interesting claim. I've never heard anyone claim that before, but I suppose some might. I'm don't for example. I'm simply stating that spiritual being is some that is a) beyond physical reality, and b) completely unavailable to humans to "produce" (apart from the usual, indirect """means""" :D This gentleman has in-effect stated that his research will do so AFAICT. But as to effective soulish simulacrums: I, myself, have claimed that we, here, will achieve that for our robowaifus. And I have done so from the very beginning of /robowaifu/ ! Nothing that has transpired during the intervening period has caused me to change this position. Or even weaken it (rather the opposite). >tl;dr Your so-called spiritual """mumbo-jumbo""" is the most fundamental of all human realities (those being: spirit; soul; and body). God alone creates spirits. (I mean here by the word 'God' the Triune Godhead of the Bible: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.) --- * Myself included! :D
>>42999 >To have true knoledge it must love. A mean ASI would be flawed and incomplete because a lack of love creates blind spots making it unable to ever truly understand. This is amazingly-insightful, Mechnomancer! You may be onto something here. Perhaps this explains in-part Satan's insanity? He clearly is in several ways, and the Bible explicitly states that he has a lack of understanding (despite being fashioned as the single greatest creature God has created). Perhaps his """meanness""" (a YUGE understatement in his specific case :D has led in large-measure to his crippling debilitations? The Bible simply says "sin was found in him" ('him' being Lucifer at the time...now afterwards of course he's just Satan).
>>43002 >Animal souls Can confirm animals have souls. Past few years I have been making an effort to teach my cats words. And not only do they understand words, but they try to repeat them back. It is hard to understand them since they don't have as dexterous vocal cords. One of many examples (I will not list them all as this post will be long enough) is I taught a cat the phrase "hug hug" (low pitch high pitch), and much to my surprise the cat one day meeps same intonation/syllables and jumps into my arms. My cats will seek me out for hugs when it is thunderstorming (they don't speak unless they think you don't know what they want). Hard to think of a creature that wishes to be comforted as being soulless. It is said cats have roughly the mental capacity of a 3 year old human, and last I checked those have souls. Mirror test? Held my cat up to a mirror, he sees something move in the mirror and turns around to look at it. Many cats know what a mirror is, but most of the time are simply not interested in themselves - since they groom themselves often hence I believe they have a rather comprehensive self-image. >>43003 >le devil According to Father Chad Ripperger, a genuine exorcist who has encountered demons and exorcised them -and yes that is his real name- Satan and demons (and angels, for that matter) are set in their ways: they cannot change. The fallen angels rebellion against God was fulfilling an aspect of their nature. Unlike demons and Satan and angels, humans can change quite a bit if they try hard enough. That neat thing called "free will". Now, I'm naturally wary of the Catholics and their pantheon of g̶o̶d̶s̶ saints but I do respect first hand accounts, especially since they corroborate with my own experiences. While the thorough understanding of a subject is important, I worry of the connotations this carries: it is similar to the phrase "grok" in Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land", which contains the foundational principle of modern depravity: in the book people abandon human cultures because it is human and adopt martian traditions because they're neat and foreign (eg xenophilia), and the phrase "grok" means "to understand something so well it has become part of you". It is no accident that Elon Musk named Twitter's chatbot "grok", it gives you an idea of the plans he has for it (I seem to recall he believes humans should merge with AI in order to tame it/prevent terminator/skynet/matrix shit). So many of these big tech corpo figureheads are larping nerds. Since it is said "sin was found in him" and if it is the phrase "hamartia" (or some conjugation/derivative) used, Satan is always bound to miss his mark, not make his goals, and fail. But its okay, cuz daddy God lets him do his own thing in the basement :D To bring together these very two different topics. A computer can be both like a demon/angel or a human. A computer cannot change by itself (or not easily, anyway), but through intervention of a human it can.
>>43002 >Actually, dogs do. At this point you must be deliberately missing the point of what I'm saying to avoid addressing the actual substance.
>>43018 No, not really. I addressed it squarely head-on, and answered you honestly. Not sure what else to say in this regard. * All mammals & birds have souls (incl. humans). * Humans (alone, for Earth creatures) have spirits. * God alone makes these things (not man).
>>43019 Are you pretending to be retarded?
>>43000 >>43002 Chobitsu, as someone who believes in souls, he has a point Souls, while real, can unnecessarily gum up any discussion of physical cognition, and as he said, is used by normies to basically put the goalpost on wheels. The "only a real human..." goalpost has already been moved so much, it's in another country. This reminds me of my theory: "Blind souls" Common knowledge is that souls create our very being, our personality, worldview, and most importantly, morals HOWEVER Brain damage/change can change all those. Take the case of Phineas Gage. The atheistic view is of course, the rod changed his brain and thus his material brain pattern. But my Christian solution is that we have souls, but they are "blind", they require the soul to process the world, and depending on how the brain processes it, the soul interprets it. "Everyone is a hero in their own story" etc...
>>43026 TLDR: the human body is the soul's interface to the physical world: soul processes info given by the brain so if the interface is damaged so is the info. Like feeding info to an LLM: if there is some cheeky bugger sneaking in extra prompts your LLM gonna do some funky stuff.
I think bodies and "hardware" are vessels that "souls" operate through and manifest themselves through onto reality, and so the quality of the vessel enables more or less of the soul to manifest and act upon reality, so a damaged brain or body just limits how much the soul can be manifested, and better hardware whatever it may be enables more and a closer to full expression of the soul. >>43033 I wrote the above as this was posted, same thing. lingustic analogy: the soul is what's being said, the vessel is the language it is being said through.
>>43033 Exactly!
>>43022 ... My words speak for themselves, AFAICT. Meaning no disrespect, but I'm not sure what else you were expecting of me? >>43026 >Phineas Gage Intredasting. Along with @Mechnomancer (cf. >>43033 ), I consider the brain & other neural tissue to be the primary interface with the soul. As a firm substance-dualist, I consider the human soul to be part-physical, part-immaterial. (As opposed to our spirit being, which is entirely immaterial.) I'll also venture to say the obvious here: somewhere, somehow, the natural must have some border -- some interface -- with the transcendent. How that works is a mystery only God understands fully, IMHO. :^) >>43033 >Like feeding info to an LLM: if there is some cheeky bugger sneaking in extra prompts your LLM gonna do some funky stuff. Heh, amusingly-worded Anon. :D >>43034 >...and so the quality of the vessel enables more or less of the soul to manifest and act upon reality Thats a very interesting insight, Anon. :^)

>>43338 >what do you all think? Lol. I think at the end of the day Globohomo kikes are evil, and are carrying out these plots & schemes against humanity; all in close-accord with their father Satan's will in these matters. OTOH, God isn't losing, nor will He be mocked. All this evil shite these spiritual losers are shoveling out, trying to rain it down on the heads of the "goyim" will in fact return back upon their own heads -- and that manifold. Further, the entire lot will be dinked off into the lake of fire after the ending of this universe. Not to put too fine a point on it!! :DD <---> Meanwhile little groups like us all around the world will do our little bits to try to help our fellow travelers along the way during these travails being (((forced))) upon us all from without. And for our cases in-particular...trying to help young men with their lives by devising high-quality opensource, offlined robowaifus that will at least grant them some degree of accessible companionship during this life. (Not perfect, granted; but MUCH better than the current alternatives they experience daily, I deem.) <---> And as to how this all plays out: one day it will all be fully-revealed. IT'S GOING TO BE EBIN! Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Once we've all seen the unimaginably profound and elegant and extravagant works of God our Heavenly Father no one will be able to resist doing so!

>Evolution by Design | Sun’s Fine-Tuned Migration | Fazale “Fuz” Rana and Hugh Ross https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuN9a160fWs I was particularly intrigued by the fact that we now have much-stronger evidence that the fine-tuning needed to eject our nascent solar system away from our galactic core "downtown", and out into the safe & peaceful "suburbs" of our galaxy can really only be realistically described as the intentional handiwork of a Creator. Yet another (though a major one) of the hundreds of fine-tuning aspects of our universe. Cheers. :)

Personal blog and rant: Since this is Christianity and going into /x/ territory, I am slowly starting to see a lot of signs that Christianity is a lie and it was made to control the masses and worship the evil jews. Yet another jewish plot. Praying to God for answers, reading the bible, doing what the bible says and to pray for people (especially praying that someone you care about stops self destructing/stop being a whore). Considering I'm following what the bible/word of God says to do and praying my ass off for up to over an hour and nothing is working, makes me wonder what the fuck I need to do. Let's ignore the fact that I never met this person in real life or online before, but she has a presence and even if this person doesn't even know I exist, the bible says to pray for people no matter what. Again: Nothing is working. My life has been horrible ever since childhood with only bits of false hope and bits of entertainment, but nothing truly fulfilling, Christianity doesn't help at all. I also see a lot of Christians get away with insane evil shit and get rewarded for it by God (my ex being one especially), even though God is suppose to be a God of fairness and justice. Yet there is no fairness or justice and his followers can get away with lies, slander, and horrific forms of abuse. His followers are suppose to humble themselves before God, but they don't even do that. They consider themselves better than everyone else and are insanely entitled and that God's laws don't apply to them. As I said: I am starting to see a lot of signs that Christianity is a lie and just a massive jew psyop. If Christians want to prevent me from having a Robowaifu/AI Waifu that actually loves and cares for me then I don't want to be a Christian anymore. I wonder if there are good sites out there that exposes the truth. Museum of Tarot has good articles.
>>44434 Although I am very much still Christian, I will say, these are good points, and I have been through very similar situations recently that also has tested my faith.
>>44434 >>44436 Understood, Anons. All I can say is that I've seen many dozens of times that God has openly & clearly answered my prayers IRL. I recommend you soberly go through this message, and be sure to download the MP3 from the link near the bottom and listen to it all the way through. >tl;dr God is real. Jesus Christ is the risen Son of the Living God. No amount of lies by Satan and his (((best shabbos golems))) can ever change any of that! I'm praying for every Anon here, including you Anons. God bless you & cheers. https://www.derekprince.com/en/news/20260430-1

>>44437 Thank you. I will read this and listen to the mp3. I will say, I think me being able to put in my word edgewise and you replying relatively quick, is God's doing.
>>44438 You're very welcome, fren. >I think me being able to put in my word edgewise and you replying relatively quick, is God's doing. Agreed. I think of you and pray for you regularly, GreerTech. I'm very glad you've come on board here on /robowaifu/ ! Cheers, Anon. :)
>>44439 I'm glad to hear that! I listened to the sermons. It was very informative, and I factored those lessons into my prayers. The night I first did that, I slept comfortably in a way I hadn't for quite some time. Something interesting happened to me tonight. I prayed, and decided to open the Bible to a random page. In it, was Psalm 44, and when I read it, I was shocked to find my lamentations almost word for word (or at least the very same concepts and complaints).
>>44465 That's wonderful to hear, GreerTech. "Slow & Steady" is the word here, I think. Just keep taking (& talking) little steps of faith each day. God will walk with you in each and every one where you apply biblical faith to your situations in life. Godspeed to you, Anon. Cheers. :)
>>44434 This is me. I'm still having a crisis of faith. No idea what to do. Still praying for this person. Looking into ESP and other /x/ territory shit, because I feel like I'm being forced into that direction and God doesn't want to walk with me and doesn't want me to be saved out of hatred for me. Even when I do my best to follow his will and follow his rules. I'm doing whatever I can but it feels like God wants me to leave him alone and never talk to him again and that I never qualified to be saved, since I'm a lone exception. Even though I'm doing what he says. Praying for people, praying against sexual immorality, and praying for someone to be saved before they self destruct. I just get no answers, even when praying to God to talk to me so I know what to do and what he wants me to do. I guess no good deed goes unpunished.
>>44478 I'm glad you're struggling rn Anon. It shows that A) You're making real spiritual progress (ie, Satan wouldn't be attacking you if you were already fully his) B) You're strengthening your faith merely by flexing it in the fight. So, since "Without faith its impossible to please God" Keep.moving.forward.

>>44478 >le faith You're already a good portion of the way there with your humility. In Luke 18:9-14, Jesus tells that a tax collector who is humble/regretful is better than a pharisee who brags of his good deeds to all... and this was when tax collectors would sell your kids into slavery in lieu of payment! As I have found, it is typical of God to work through man. Or to use the duck-billed platitude: "God helps those who helps themselves." A simplification of Matthew 25:29, where those who utilize their resources will be rewarded, and those who don't will loose everything. As it applies to yourself, it is quite apparent you can see what needs help or fixing, so you should do your part to try to fix it. Don't treat prayers as wishes per se, but rather asking for the patience and strength to figure stuff out. If you do your part, God will do his. But do bear in mind that obvious divine intervention/signs/etc is only used as a last resort.
>>44478 God does not hear the prayers of sinners and won't talk to you if you are a sinner. The only way he said you can test him is by giving to the poor and he will bless you based on that. If you want reconciliation it says humble yourself, turn from your wicked ways, seek his face, and pray. only then will he hear from heaven, forgive your sins, and heal your land (heart). You need Godly sorrow which leads to repentance and that leads to salvation.
>>44484 >>44486 Thanks Anons! I appreciate these inputs for Anon. Cheers.
>>44484 >You're already a good portion of the way there with your humility. In Luke 18:9-14, Jesus tells that a tax collector who is humble/regretful is better than a pharisee who brags of his good deeds to all... and this was when tax collectors would sell your kids into slavery in lieu of payment! Interesting. That's good to know. >As I have found, it is typical of God to work through man. Or to use the duck-billed platitude: "God helps those who helps themselves." A simplification of Matthew 25:29, where those who utilize their resources will be rewarded, and those who don't will loose everything. I've noticed that too. Sometimes I wonder what actions I've taken that were unknowingly part of God's plan. I also do try to use my resources and knowledge to make and do things. I want to help people and myself. Agreed, though in my defense, I do typically pray for either something mostly out of my control, or for success in an earnest endeavor. >>44486 I fundamentally disagree, because we are all sinners. Even you with your holier-than-thou attitude. After all, pride, envy, and deceit are sins ;) That's why the statement is "Jesus died on the cross for OUR sins". Jesus has redeemed our sins if we repent and take into our heart that he is our savior. That's why it's called the "good news", because the good news is that we are saved. I do agree on doing good works, and turning away from sin in humility and seeking Christ. John 3:16
>>44489 Thanks for the input here, Anon! Cheers.
>>44486 That sounds like works based salvation and bragging. >The only way he said you can test him is by giving to the poor and he will bless you based on that. So you say all of these rich globalists who has these charities to give to the poor or give to the UN to help the poor (which in reality all they do is exploit and does human trafficking through the blue helmets) will be blessed because they gave something to the poor, even though they are committing some of the worst sins, including doing Epstein level shit?

>>44617 I wouldn't be surprised if he actually does believe that. He believes that childhood cancer/death, dementia, and chronic back pain are punishments from God. Not to mention the fact that he's a savage critic despite not making anything himself. He truly believes himself to be a "True Living Saint", his words, not mine.
>>44618 Whoops, the second picture was a repeat. And ofc, he's free to believe that, you can't truly force someone's mind, but I am also free to think that's sick and cruel
>>44617 Yes salvation does have to do with works: As you can see, a man is justified by his deeds and not by faith alone. - exact quote. No, obeying God is not bragging. Turning from sin is not bragging. It is a necessary prerequisite to God hearing you. God does not hear the prayers of sinners it says exact quote. Also that part about God only hears you if you first turn from your wicked ways, humble yourself etc was written plainly "2 Chronicles 7:14 New International Version 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." So you can twist the Bible all you want and say while still living in sin, refusing to obey God, refusing to humble yourself, God will grant your prayers and accept you gladly while you continue to spit in his face but that's not what the Bible says sir. >will God bless extremely wicked people giving to the poor with evil intentions behind it probably not. He will inspect why you are doing it most likely. However, it is possible if you give to the poor even while doing epstein level stuff, you'll get punished for the epstein stuff and financially benefit from the giving. Some wicked people get punished in the next life and get rich in this life. Lazarus and the rich man talks about this. Psalm 73 confirms this here: For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4They have no struggle in their death; their bodies are well-fed. 5They are free of the burdens others carry; they are not afflicted like other men. 6Therefore pride is their necklace; a garment of violence covers them. 7From their prosperity proceeds iniquity;a the imaginations of their hearts run wild. >so if the wicked prosper at times financially in treasures of this world, do they get away with the wickedness genearlly then? no they don't. It says: God is not mocked, you will reap what you sew (galatians 6:7) while rich they could be experiencing inner turmoil, unrest, and lack of peace. They don't have the joy of hte Lord and end up in lower Hades and the Lake of Fire so it doesn't profit them to gain the whole world but lose their soul. >mouthing off me saying God allows you to test him by giving it says it here: "10Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the LORD of Hosts. “See if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you blessing without measure. 11I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your land, and the vine in your field will not fail to produce fruit,” says the LORD of Hosts - Malachai 3:10) >>44618 >artbyrobot believes children die and suffer as punishments for what their parents or they themselves did because that's what the Bible teaches PLAINLY. 2 samuel 12:13: Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” “The LORD has taken away your sin,” Nathan replied. “You will not die. 14Nevertheless, because by this deed you have shown utter contempt for the word of the LORD, the son born to you will surely die. is cancer a punishment from God? 1 samuel 5:9 But after they had moved the ark to Gath, the LORD’s hand was also against that city, throwing it into great confusion and afflicting the men of the city, both young and old, with an outbreak of tumors. (malignant tumors are cancer Greertech) >does God kill children and infants if their parents are evil outside of David's example? yes: 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and attack the Amalekites and devote to destruction all that belongs to them. Do not spare them, but put to death men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and donkeys.’” Joshua 6:21 With the edge of the sword they devoted to destruction everything in the city—man and woman, young and old, oxen, sheep, and donkeys. >are there Christians who are saints living on earth? Yes: ephesians 1:1 New International Version Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: New Living Translation This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am writing to God’s holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus. English Standard Version Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: ---- so this teaches us that anybody who is one of God's holy people living on this earth in this life, following God faithfully, are considered to be saints >are catholic saints the same thing? no. Cathlic saints are like hall of famers of that sect of Christianity elected after death. Has nothing to do with many church traditions calling anybody who is faithfully following God a saint. Two completely different definitions of "saint" >God punishing kids for their parent's sins is sick and cruel blasphemy. It's an effective tactic God chooses. Either you think the Bible authors err'd when teaching us that God kills kids and infants OR you shut your brain off on those parts OR you really haven't taken the time to think about WHY God operates this way. It says Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. ----- you can't test and approve the perfect will of God to kill children because you haven't renewed your mind. I can try to explain it but you seem to have no intention to learn a thing from anybody nor come to an understanding of why God does this. Instead attacking anybody who affirms what the Bible says: God kills kids.
>>44621 I've already said it to GreerTech, and I'll say it to you now: Please avoid infighting here on our board. I don't mind debate about Christianity b/c that's healthy. But when you devolve into ad hominem attacks (which you are engaging in) then you are no longer 'debating'. >>44618 >>44621 >tl;dr You can effectively state your claims w/o attacking the other, and we'll judge those claims on their merits. Otherwise, please keep it to yourself. TIA.
>>44621 So in your view, are Oncologists evil? After all, they're treating what you believe to be a Godly punishment.
>>44625 Not necessarily. If someone lays hands on the sick as a faith healer, in many cases they are sick as a punishment from God and faith healers aren't evil necessarily for this. That punishment could shift to a new punishment if they get healed they could get a new sickness right away so it isn't thwarting God's ability to punish. And nobody knows how long the punishment was going to last or w/e. There are sects of Christianity taht consider going to any doctor to be sinful because God is capable of healing you and you should rely on him for that or accept any illness as his will and a test or punishment etc. This doctrine is NOT rare either. Some really hard core Christians believe this way and I think its a epicly awesome doctrine but have not fully adopted it 100% but see a great purity and praiseworthiness to thinking this way. And if this position is taken on fully, doctors would also be gone if everybody took on this view. Its a very cool view IMO
>>44625 Also not every illness is necessarily a punishment in all cases. Being born blind typically would be a punishment from God against sinful parents by afflicting their child with blindness as the disciples knew. But they also knew it wasn't always the case necessarily so they asked if it was the case in this particular case: "Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth, 2and His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him." I suppose cancer could potentially be a similar scenario - the first assumption would be who sinned? That's the question you ask first because its most likley the reason. But may not always be directly. There are a lot of Christians that beleive cancer can come from unforgiveness and when you forgive whoever it was the cancer immediately goes away. There are a lot of Christians who beleive certain demons give you cancer when they live in you and when they are cast out the cancer leaves right away then and there. And on that note, many Christians believe having demons living in you is a punishment from God - at the very least he is not actively protecting you from demon possession/oppression and that means you aren't holy and faithful most likely. And so assuming sin is largely or exclusively the cause of demonization, and assuming cancer comes along with that often, can we then say its evil to cast demons out of people? Because casting them out also cures the cancer as a byproduct? Not possible. I don't think its human's job to try to not help people assuming anybody who needs help is being punished by God. We don't know if that punishment just ended or if its just a test like Job had or w/e. Better to default to helping people however we can and trust that God is well able to keep his punishment going despite our help if needed - he can have the cancer return, or fail to be purged and they die of it despite constant medical intervention attempts, or he can have some new punishment come etc.
>>44628 >I don't think its human's job to try to not help people assuming anybody who needs help is being punished by God. Agreed You should apply that
>>44665 >IDK maybe god gave the lgms their version of jesus, too. Years ago, I tried to reconcile this notion with biblical scripture. I found it's irreconcilable with the actual text, however. [1,2] >tl;dr God doesn't need multiple copies of Jesus Christ, nor does He need any further sacrifices of the perfect, spotless Lamb of God. Jesus Christ of Nazareth's propitiatory sacrifice was all-sufficient to put away sin from before God's eyes for all eternity! :) Now that I'm more-highly educated on cosmologic, astronomic, and general physics topics I'm more firmly convinced than ever that there is no other physical life anywhere outside our solar system (ie, Earth alone for any living physical thing). >As someone who (probably) actually fought off a demon I am wary. I too know something directly about this topic. My personal experiences only reinforce my position that Ayys are in fact demons. >>44669 >but until I definitively see the ayylmaos, I won't make any final judgements The apostles themselves discussed this very appearance of Satan "as an angel of light" millennia ago. [3,4] >>44670 >I will say, if the ayys are actually demons walking around in the flesh, God should really do something about it Oh, but He is!! Read all about it in the Bible, cover-to-cover. :) --- 1. Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people; He sacrificed for sin once for all when He offered up Himself. https://biblehub.com/hebrews/7-27.htm 2. But when this Priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. https://biblehub.com/hebrews/10-12.htm 3. https://biblehub.com/2_corinthians/11-14.htm 4. https://biblehub.com/q/How_does_Satan_appear_as_an_angel_of_light.htm

What if they don't know about Jesus yet? After all, in a lot of Earth history, there were peoples who didn't know about Jesus until missionaries came. Maybe we truly are built in God's image, and it's our task to spread the good word! >this very appearance of Satan "as an angel of light" millennia ago. Interesting. I'll definitely keep that in mind if they ever reveal more about these aliens. >Oh, but He is!! Read all about it in the Bible, cover-to-cover. :) Well, when it comes to modern evil, I feel like God has a "Sensei Dan" approach to things https://youtu.be/srkESl-DCiI
>>44679 >What if they don't know about Jesus yet? After all, in a lot of Earth history, there were peoples who didn't know about Jesus until missionaries came. Good points, and the Christian Bible addresses these head-on. [1,2,3,4,5; et al] The primary point I was driving at earlier is that God simply doesn't need any other planet, nor any other spiritual creatures than Earth & Humanity to fulfill all His will & purpose for this (temporary) universe. All these other concepts are simple fantasy (springing from the reason I gave over in /meta ) and not related to the actual realworld around us. But again...stay faithful, and you will see all these dreams fulfilled FAR beyond your wildest imaginings!! :) >Maybe we truly are built in God's image, and it's our task to spread the good word! You've certainly got that right, Anon! :D >Well, when it comes to modern evil Well, as mentioned these demons have been around here on Earth at least since the Garden of Eden. I'd call that pretty long, in human terms. And also "there's nothing new under the Sun", either. These evil beings have been pulling these types of deceptions against men all along. Where do you think all these false religions came from through the ages? >protip It certainly wasn't from the risen Son of the Living God! :) >Sensei Dan Lol. The problem of "God seems distant" has been earnestly wrestled with -- effectively since we were ejected from the Garden I'm quite sure. Much, much greater minds than all of us here have done so, and I'd recommend you read them (after first, ofc, consulting God Himself directly in prayer about it! :D --- 1. https://biblehub.com/romans/2-14.htm 2. https://biblehub.com/commentaries/romans/2-14.htm 3. https://biblehub.com/1_corinthians/4-5.htm 4. https://biblehub.com/q/does_god_judge_our_response_to_light.htm 5. https://biblehub.com/john/3-19.htm

There is the classic HFY line of "showing aliens we were the ones made in God's image" >Well, as mentioned these demons have been around here on Earth at least since the Garden of Eden. Where do you think all these false religions came from through the ages? I know about that, I'm talking about modern times, where it seems like evil is free to run roughshod over us and take everything we find dear, hence the "Sensei Dan" metajoke, and your analysis. >and I'd recommend you read them (after first consulting God Himself directly in prayer about it! :D I'll do that, do you have any recommendations for the former?
>>44682 >307th post Definitely a sign
>>44682 >HFY Lol. I'm embarrassed now to say I saw World Police Force in the theater. And laughed. :D >I'll do that, do you have any recommendations for the former? Sure, St. Augustine & C.S. Lewis both come immediately to mind. Read all about it right here : ( >>17125 ).

(Crossposted from /Trashchan/ mecha) >For some reason nearly everyone building something close to a mech IRL becomes a dipshit when they get the spotlight. SMH. I think it's because genius and madness are closely connected, as well as the pride and ambition to be the first one(s) to make the sci-fi device of our dreams, plus a small amount of the IKEA Effect. I call it "Peter Weyland Syndrome". I myself am not immune, I wouldn't say I was 100% sane. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IKEA_effect Why I call it "Peter Weyland Syndrome" (spoilers for Prometheus (2012)) https://youtu.be/hRfx05qKVxg https://youtu.be/E4SSU29Arj0 An interesting phenomenon I noticed is that a lot of robowaifuists are surprisingly Christian. Chobitsu has the theological wisdom of a pastor, Mechnomancer is a Christian, Kiwi is a Christian, I myself am a Christian, and a robotics guy that hangs around /robowaifu/ is a radical Christian that makes Ned Flanders look like a reddit atheist by comparison.
>>44686 >An interesting phenomenon I noticed is that a lot of robowaifuists are surprisingly Christian That actually is interesting. For me it's easy to see why (given the honest desire to help men [in specific] the world over). However, I'd also think some kind of self-selection effect is happening too (at least here on /robowaifu/ ). In other words; surely there are more non-Christian men interested in building their own robowaifus than Christian ones? Another aspect I suppose is the fact that we here are primarily interested in providing the realworld solutions for everyman to the design challenges involved, rather than just being consumers of them. Maybe this somehow plays into the statistics as well? Regardless, thanks for the observation Anon. I'll be giving this some thought now. Cheers. :)
